· Well, sure has been awhile hasn't it? I've been working on bringing my programming skills up
exponentially over the last few months so I can start on some utilities that I need desperately for my projects.
I hope to get some stuff finished on Granhistoria, such as making the various dumpers, inserters, etc that I
need. No worries with the compression...I discovered that months ago but it's one of the most massive
(length-wise) that I've ever seen. I still don't want to do a cheap hack and just load an uncompressed font
instead since there may be lots of graphics I need to translate.· I've been wanting to help out on a PSX project for quite awhile, so I'm going to help out Cless and his project to translate Tales of Phantasia for PSX. · Just wanted to let you know that I'm still -very- alive so here's another update down. Hopefully it doesn't take me this long to update next time, hehe. February 8, 2001 | Update by Klarth
· Ack, I mixed up a lot of dates with 2000 when it was supposed to be 2001, anyways that has been
remedied. That included the Console Graphics Document =\.· Anyways onto the reason for this update. I think I've taken the Console Graphics Document about as far as I can so it -might- not get a revision. As for the TIM Graphics Format document, well that's been 99% complete for the last week but I need to spend another 30 minutes on it sometime to add more descriptive definitions for the Palette and Image Orgs. I have two new documents that I've been working on. One of them is nearly 100% but it's not -really- rom hacking related but it can be applied to rom hacking. The other I'm keeping a "s3kr1t" because I just started it, but I finished 3 sections of it in the last two days and now I'm working on some of the more complicated sections. I can give a *slight* hint in that it's a beginner's guide to something most rom hackers believe is very, very complicated :). That's it for this update, bai. January 14. 2001 | Update by Kralth
· Well, thanks to Mr. Click I have begun work on a FINAL version of the TIM Graphics Format document.
All the so-called "mystery values" have been filled in with info from Mr. Click. So now I'm working on a
complete library of efficient formulas for converting 15bit BGR <-> 24bit RGB. The basic, single formula
is quite simple but I'm devising formulas for just about anything that you could possibly want to do with
converting 15bit BGR and 24bit RGB colors. That is all.

· This isn't really an update, but a tribute to DeJap's hard work on Tales of Phantasia. DarkForce
just threw off my entire schedule I had planned this week, but I'm not mad at him. :PAnyways, now to the point of this update, a long time ago, Nintendo Power had a two page section featuring Tales of Phantasia SFC in Volume 82 (March '96). I've been meaning to scan these two pages in for the last year but haven't gotten around to it. Now I had no choice but to scan them in, heh. They're over at the newfound Misc. section. Oh yeah, and about the Articles section...eh, it's coming along much slower than expected. I'm trying to take a bit of a break from the computer, but it's not working out very well. I've been swamped with school work that I have to do...so I better finish that up.

· Well better a little late then never. I took the time to look over
the Console Graphics Document once again and released it. Read through it at the
documents page if you're interested. It should be a tremendous help to anybody
coding or considering coding a tile editor. If anybody has any comments on it,
please email me. Well, I guess that's it for this update. For the next update,
I just might begin the articles section so it could be a few weeks.

· Hmm, not exactly what I was planning. I need to look over my doc on
console graphics again, but it'll be released within the next three or so days.
But for some good news, I released the revised version of the PSX graphics doc. So
head over to the documents page to take a look at it; I'll do a HTML version
in the next few days.
